Real life, in Ho Chi Minh City

Rent a girlfriend in Ho Chi Minh City for a day

Looking to rent a girlfriend in Ho Chi Minh City? Rent Girlfriend books a verified woman in Vietnam for one full day in real life — a family lunch, a holiday visit, a day exploring the city — strictly platonic, with the plan agreed in writing before you meet.

Where to meet in Ho Chi Minh City

  • District 1
  • District 3
  • Thao Dien
  • Binh Thanh

How the day runs

Saigon wakes early. Coffee at six or seven, on a low stool at the edge of the pavement, is a proper way to meet rather than a hurried one, and a long morning is the best part of the day here. By early afternoon the heat empties the streets, and the city comes back to life from about five; after dark the Nguyen Hue walking street fills with families. Dinner is nearer seven than nine. Iced coffee with condensed milk fills the role a drink plays elsewhere, at any hour.

Getting around

Motorbikes are the city's bloodstream and the traffic never fully stops. To cross, walk at a steady pace and let the riders steer around you — waiting for a gap does not work. A motorbike ride booked through an app is fast and inexpensive; a car is cooler and much slower. The first metro line, from Ben Thanh to Suoi Tien, now runs along one corridor. Going between District 1 and Thao Dien takes about twenty minutes at a quiet hour and twice that around six.

When Ho Chi Minh City is busiest

The calendar splits cleanly. November to April is the dry season, with December and January the mildest months; March and April are the hottest. From May to October most afternoons bring a sudden downpour that stops as quickly as it started — an hour under a roof and the day carries on. Tết, in late January or February, is the visit home: much of the city shuts for a week or more, and the decorated streets and flower markets of the days before are the city at its most beautiful.

Questions about Ho Chi Minh City

Can she come with me to my family for Tết?

Yes — Tết is when family visits cluster, so it is the holiday to ask about first. Tell us which day of the holiday you need and who you will visit, agree the introduction in writing, and meet in public first so you arrive together.

Is a long coffee enough of a plan?

Here it is a plan in its own right. Cafés are where the city meets — street stools, old apartment blocks full of small rooms — and nobody rushes a table. Start with one and let the rest of the day follow from it.

Is crossing the road really that hard?

Only on the first day. Keep walking at an even speed, no sudden stops or changes of direction, and the motorbikes flow around you. By the third day it is second nature.
