Real life, in Mumbai

Rent a girlfriend in Mumbai for a day

Looking to rent a girlfriend in Mumbai? Rent Girlfriend books a verified woman in India for one full day in real life — a family lunch, a holiday visit, a day exploring the city — strictly platonic, with the plan agreed in writing before you meet.

Where to meet in Mumbai

How the day runs

A Mumbai day starts slowly and finishes late. Lunch can drift into the afternoon, dinner seldom begins before half past eight, and the sea face is still full of people walking long after midnight — so a full day here has room to breathe. What limits it is the traffic, not the distance: at a bad hour Bandra to Colaba can take an hour, which is why a good plan keeps to one side of the city.

Getting around

App cabs are on every corner and inexpensive by world standards, but at peak hours the island city in the south and the western suburbs behave like two different places. Outside the rush, the local trains are quick and worth using; at rush hour they are no place to spend the first hour of a day together. If the family lives across town, plan the crossing for midday.

When Mumbai is busiest

The comfortable months are November to February, which is also wedding season and the stretch when the city's social calendar is fullest. Diwali, in October or November, is the festival that brings families home and the one to plan furthest ahead for. From June to September the monsoon moves the day under a roof — a long lunch, a gallery, a café with a window on the rain.

Questions about Mumbai

Can she come with me to my family's Diwali visit in Mumbai?

Yes, if the day is planned with that in mind. Tell us the date, where the family lives and how long you will stay, agree how you met in writing, and meet somewhere public first so you arrive together. Ask early: Diwali week is when everyone travels.

Where should the day begin?

Bandra West or Colaba, depending on which side of the city the rest of the day is on. Both have quiet cafés and pleasant streets to walk, and neither asks you to cross Mumbai at the wrong hour. Lower Parel suits a day already based in the south.

Is a monsoon day still worth booking?

Yes. From June to September the plan moves indoors — a mall café, a museum, a long lunch — and the walking shrinks. Leave extra time for roads, which slow badly when it pours.
